AUTUMN PHOTO SHOOT!
Last week myself and some friends decided to go on a spontaneous roadtrip and find some autumn leaves! The colours up in Macedon were particularly good this year, so we had to catch them before they were gone. Arriving just before sunrise we managed the whole place to ourselves for the first hour or so (if you have been to this spot recently you will definitely have found out that it is now insanely overcrowded so get there early and leave early if you can). Unfortunately we didn’t get any light or fog which we were hoping for but bringing along some props like a yellow raincoat and an umbrella turned out to be the best idea! The contrast of the yellow with the red leaves made for a great combination of colour and, when paired with the leading lines in the road, gave a great focal point and composition for the photos.
After shooting with different angles and subjects, we decided to take things a step further. Since there was so many leaves 🤪and we had an umbrella, I thought it would look cool if we filled it up with leaves and then emptied it over the model so that it looked like it was raining leaves under the umbrella! This is what the end result looked like, so happy with the final results:
